Cheevers & Company, Inc. has been building up its buyside-focused business by focusing on America's pension systems.
Cheevers & Company, a women's business enterprise founded by Kathleen Cheevers, has spent years working with the buyside to build business.
One of the ways it has done that is by working with some of America's largest pension funds and asset managers on execution strategies that best suit their investment style. “We predominantly market to pension funds and asset managers. We go directly to them and try to get them to look at us for execution,” Laura Yunger, President of Cheevers & Company, told Markets Media. “Over the past year and a half, two years, we have really built up our desk. We started with domestic equity and now we have a fully staffed international desk that's open 24 hours. We can do all markets from emerging to developed markets.”
