 John Barone serves as Director of Institutional Sales and Trading for Cheevers & Company. He leads the trading execution, sales and client service efforts for the firm’s trading desk. With over 20 years of sales and trading experience in the securities industry, John broadens the expertise of Cheevers & Company’s trading desk with a focus on expanding client service. Most recently, John was Director of Equity Sales & Trading at Melvin & Company. Prior to Melvin, John spent fourteen years as an Equity Trader with William Blair and Company, the last eight years as a Principal of the firm. He also served as a sales trader with Chicago Corp. for eight years and traded at The Chicago Board Options Exchange for five years. Previously, John served as President of the Security Traders Association of Chicago and on the Board of Governors of the National Security Trader Association.
John maintains his Series 3, 7, 24, & 55 registrations with FINRA. He is a member of the Security Traders Association of Chicago.
