BROKERSRyan ArmstrongRyan began his career as a stockbroker for Southern Financial Group, Inc. in Maitland, Florida after completion of his Bachelors Degree in finance. In 2000 he came to the Chicago Stock Exchange as a MAX Representative where he had extensive customer contact resolving trade discrepancies. He joined Cheevers & Co in 2001. Ryan's drive, understanding of customer needs and knowledge of the trading environment made him natural fit to the service driven culture at Cheevers & Co. He is a member of the Securities Traders Association of Chicago. Registrations: Series 7, Series 24 Cheryl Bachara, Senior Equity TraderCheryl joined Cheevers & Company in July 2008 as the firm's head international equity trader. She started her career trading money market securities for Chicago Title & Trust Company and in 1985, moved on to trade U.S. equities for investment adviser, Capital Supervisors. In 1992, Cheryl began trading international stocks in over 33 countries for Acorn Fund manager, Wanger Asset Management. Cheryl has developed valuable relationships with brokers and traders around the globe and earned the trust and respect of the international community, co-workers and peers. She maintains the highest level of professional standards and has a strong commitment to managing an effective and service-oriented trading desk. Cheryl is a member of the Security Traders Association of Chicago and Institutional Investors' International Trader Forum. John CastroJohn started at Cheevers and Co. in early 2004. He began his career as a runner on the Chicago Stock Exchange floor, and worked his way through the ranks of trade reporting and MAX customer service until being hired by Engelman Securities (a subsidiary of E*Trade Financial). During his time at Engelman, John was trained as an institutional equities broker, and dealt extensively with professional block traders and high-pressure trading situations. Fluent in Spanish, John is able to service Spanish, Mexican, and Latin American accounts. He brings all of his experience along with a sense of salesmanship and service to Cheevers & Company, Inc. John is a member and is on the advisory board of the Security Traders Association of Chicago. Registrations: Series 7, Series 24 Howard ChuehHoward Chueh, director of domestic sales, joined Cheevers & Company, Inc. in 2004. With more than 10 years industry experience, he brings an extensive and diverse knowledge of capital markets. Howard's diverse career began at Salmon Smith Barney on the Institutional equity desk. His next career move was to Management Activities & Company where he was a buy side corporate bond trader. Prior to joining Cheevers & Co. Howard was associate director of domestic equity sales at Montrose Securities International. Howard is a member of the Association for Investment Management Research and the Security Traders Association of Chicago. Registrations: Series 7 Mark GavinaMark began his career with Cheevers & Co. as a Trading Clerk in 2001, while attending the University of Illinois at Chicago as a full-time student. Mark eventually worked his way up to the position of Head Trading Clerk, where he trained and supervised all clerk trainees and interns. He has also spent one year as a Fixed Income Analyst. Mark now joins our team as a broker for our Derivatives desk, as well as our Asset Management division. As the youngest member of Cheevers & Co., Mark brings with him an eagerness to meet our customers' needs, as well as a strong attention to detail. Mark is a member of the Security Traders Association of Chicago. Registrations: Series 7 Manual J. InclanManuel has been a floor broker with Cheevers & Company, Inc. since 1987. Before joining Cheevers & Company, he spent seven years with Bear Stearns & Company, where he worked on the institutional S&P 100 order desk at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. In this position he was responsible for tracking customer and firm orders in the S&P 100 trading pit. As a floor broker, Manuel represents orders and executes trades for institutional investors. Additionally, he helps manage the trading desk to ensure that client orders are executed and that trades clear and settle properly in customer accounts. His attention to detail has helped maintain Cheevers & Company, Inc.'s long standing reputation for service and its relationships with various broker dealers. Manuel is a member of the Security Traders Association of Chicago. Registrations: Series 7 Bernard McDevittA twenty year veteran of the securities industry, Bernard returned to the floor of the CHX in August 2005, joining Cheevers & Company as a floor broker assisting in derivative-related and institutional execution. Bernie's previous experience includes thirteen years as primary CHX floor broker and liaison for Detroit based Roney & Co. where he facilitated institutional and large ticket retail equity execution. His subsequent experience as institutional floor broker for Billings and Co. and principal trader at OLES, LLC lend him a unique understanding of the needs of both the institutional investor as well as those of the proprietary equity trader. In addition to this Bernie adds two years experience as a proprietary Treasury yield-curve spread trader and possesses a deep understanding of technical trading and intermarket relationships. Bernie is a member of the Securities Traders Association of Chicago. Registrations: Series 7 William Miller, Director of IT.Bill has over 20 years of experience that he brings to Cheevers & Co., Inc. He began working for the Chicago Stock Exchange in 1985 in various exchange support positions. Within two years he was hired as a floor broker for an options market maker firm. In 1993 he spearheaded Charles Schwab Capital Markets brokerage operation in Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. As Director of Trading Operations in Chicago his region became one of the largest volume and revenue-producing operations at Schwab Capital Markets. He is a member of SIA, STA and FIA. Registrations: Series 7 Michale RozewskiA 26-year securities industry veteran, Michael brings a wealth of experience to Cheevers & Company, Inc. Michael, a floor broker, joined Cheevers in 2000. Early in his career, Michael worked as a Sales Trader on various institutional options and securities desks. He has also been a Floor Broker on the Chicago Board Options Exchange for Bear Stearns & Company, Inc.; First Options of Chicago; Mesirow; and Knight Financial. Although he has worked extensively with customers and institutional and retail brokers, Michael's emphasis has always been on institutional traders. Michael is a member of the Securities Traders Association of Chicago. Joe WalduskyJoe began his career in the securities industry in 1986 with LIT Securities (formerly Goldberg Securities). Joe's ability and trading instincts were quickly recognized, and he accepted his first floor broker position in 1987 with Metropolitan Securities. Joe's proficiency and his dedication to customer service marked his tenures at various firms in the ever-changing environment of equity trading, including notable stays at Schwab, Rock Island and Sea Securities, where he was Vice President of Equity Securities. In his various posts, Joe has serviced buy-side as well as sell side accounts, carving out a niche in the execution of block orders, mainly consisting of mid-cap and small-cap stocks.
